Stunning Straw bale house in New Zealand

For this building workshop we teamed up with Agari, Sculpted Earth, Mānawa Construction and of course the home owners Tom and Shaye, from 'DIY home builder' to run an amazing workshop. The building was started by carpenters in 2016 so it was ready for us to start 'roughing in' the electrical and plumbing systems, install the bales, coat them in a clay slurry ('slip'), install the flashings and windows, start the interior cob and light earth walls, and even build a pizza oven.
